Transformative leadership is a leadership approach that focuses on identifying necessary changes, formulating a clear vision, and implementing strategic actions to achieve desired improvements. In the context of education, this leadership style plays a crucial role in enhancing institutional quality. This study aims to analyze the implementation of transformative leadership by the head of MIN 27 Aceh Besar and to identify the inhibiting factors faced in improving the quality of education. This research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach conducted at MIN 27 Aceh Besar, Aceh Province. Data were collected through observations, structured interviews, and documentation. The data analysis process involved data collection, reduction, display, and verification. To ensure data validity, the study applied credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability criteria. The findings reveal that the madrasah head demonstrates a strong capacity for improving educational quality through transformative leadership principles. This is reflected in high enthusiasm, effective school management, and active collaboration with stakeholders. Efforts to enhance quality are supported by strategies such as maintaining team cohesion, fostering motivation, encouraging innovation, ensuring preparedness, and demonstrating strong commitment. Despite several challenges, the principal and staff have proactively identified solutions, including organizing meetings with parents and conducting regular evaluations. These collaborative efforts highlight a strong culture of solidarity and teamwork among teachers. The study implies that transformative leadership significantly contributes to sustainable educational improvement when supported by collective commitment and adaptive problem-solving strategies.
